Atheists: Why do you want evidence that God exists?

It's not that I want evidence, it's just that I won't believe in God without it. Some atheists ask for evidence in order to debunk it; they enjoy debate. Some want to show you that your evidence is non-existent so that you and others will become more rational thus making the world a better place.
