Did my husband cheat?

So in Febuary this year I was visiting my parents(2 hours away). I went to myspace and was checking my msgs. Something told me to go 2 my husbands page and look. Of course I did! Low and behold I noticed he had added a new friend. He had deleted ALL msgs back and forth from each other. When & confronted him he told me nothing happend . that he needed someone to talk to....my gut instinct says he cheated.....what do i believe??
