UM my bf just flipped out on me for like no reason.....?

I've been with my bf for about 9 months now. We are both 18....just now I was texting him and he asked me whats up and I told him I was just takin pics of myself on my new mac....and He FLIPPED out...his exact words were, "What did i tell you about that (takin pics of myself)?!?!?!"...I told him that I was just taking normal pics like of my face and stuff bc i look cute and he said, " youre gonna send them to some guys at ur college arent u? :'(" ...I told him that NO i was NOT, but he doesnt believe me! Now he isn't talking to me....What is his deal? I've never given him ANY reason not to trust me, but he wonders why I don't trust him when he's the one that checks out girls in front of me and emotionally abuses me and says he cant come to my hot-tub party because hes afraid hed "be tempted to look at other girls"......yeah and he tells me hes never done anything wrong to me and that he's changed himself just to be with me.
