How to get a accordin door to work?

Just bought an according door so my cousins cat would stop spraying on all of my **** - but luck would behold the enterance into my room is metal so I can't get the track to screw in. NOW WHAT? (Dont say fix the cat, the little bastard was fixed after he started spraying and wont stop spraying all over my room. Also I told my cousin her cat was spraying and funny story, she doesnt believe me. Maybe she should get a big wiff of my room and tell me he isnt spraying.)
